Review

Save2PC (before known as Youtube downloader) is a very simple application for downloading video and audio streams from the Internet.

It's offered as a YouTube downloader, but it comes ready for the user to choose among several video downloads sites, such as Youtube, Google Video, Daily Motion, Myspace Video, Break.com, PornoTube, etc.

In addition, the user has the capability of deciding which output file format the download will be saved: flv (for Internet), avi, mpeg, wmv (for PC), mov (for iPod), mp4 (for PSP), 3gp (for mobile phones) and mp3 and wav (audio files).

Very easy to use: you go to one of those download sites, enter Username and Password if required for log in, select the video you want to save, set the output directory (where the file has to be saved in your PC), the file format, enter the complete link for the wanted video and press "Start".
The application will download the required videl file from the selected link and it will save it into the file path set.

If the user has set the "Download from:" input box to "Auto", as soon as the link path is entered, the program "knows" what sort of file and site correspond to the link path.
Advantages
  • Very simple and easy to use, the user interface can't be smaller. Good downloading speed.
Disadvantages
  • For some video file formats, such as flv, you need to have Applian FLV Player (wich is free to download though).
